Davis (1920-2002 ) David Davis, an internationally honored artist, is a graduate both of the Cleveland Institute of Art and of Case Western Reserve University. Recipient of Cleveland Arts Prize and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Cleveland Institute of Art, his numerous prize-winning works, many of which are based on a unique design concept he created called the "harmonic grid", are included in museums and private collections world-wide. The founder of Cleveland's Sculpture Center, Davis has earned a reputation as an ardent champion of the preservation of public sculpture and as an advocate of the work of younger sculptors.
